Seven more wgMLST schemas available

We are pleased to announce seven new wgMLST schemas for Acinetobacter baumannii, Citrobacter spp., Enterobacter aerogenes, Enterobacter cloacae, Enterococcus faecalis, Enterococcus faecium, and Serratia marcescens, respectively. This brings the total of available wgMLST schemas to twenty-one.

These extra schemas will make whole genome sequence typing even easier for BioNumerics users, cementing its reputation as the ultimate microbial data analysis software.

Five more wgMLST schemes available

We are pleased to announce five new wgMLST schemas for Clostridium difficile, Cronobacter spp., Enterococcus raffinosus, Klebsiella oxytoca, and Neisseria gonorrhoeae, respectively. This brings the total of available wgMLST schemas to fourteen.

Brucella spp. whole genome sequence typing

A genus-wide whole genome multi-locus sequence typing (wgMLST) schema for typing Brucella spp. in BioNumerics is now available! When used in combination with our cloud-based Calculation Engine, typing Brucella spp. isolates up to strain level using whole genome sequencing data is now easily accessible to everyone.

Version 1.01 of the E. coli genotyping plugin available

The E. coli functional genotyping plugin predicts phenotypic traits such as serotype, antibiotics resistance and virulence based on E. coli whole genome sequences. Version 1.01 of this online plugin contains a number of improvements compared to the initial release version.

Six more wgMLST schemes available

We are pleased to announce six new wgMLST schemas on top of the already existing ones for Staphylococcus aureus and Listeria monocytogenes, which was also updated to contain the recently published core genome as a separate typing scheme.

New schemas are available for Salmonella enterica, Escherichia coli / Shigella, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Campylobacter coli - C. jejuni, Legionella pneumophila, and Klebsiella pneumoniae.
